We at Dolly Green insist people come into see the academy to get a feel of the creative learning environment. So yes, you can schedule an academy visit. It’s 2022 and India is full of opportunities in the world of make-up. There is a demand for good professionally trained artists! The working arenas for a make-up artist are anything from retail, to makeovers, to corporate grooming to TV Commercials, bridal make up, fashion shoots, film shoot, event make ups etc. We are proud to say that we have excellent connections with artists working in the make-up industry as either freelancers or with companies / salons. We are passionate about getting students placements or job opportunities, assisting on jobs. Once you graduate from Dolly Green you can join our make-up community on Facebook where our graduates connect and we put up job opportunities as well!

At Dolly Green we are always on the lookout for talented make-up artists. We do select Dolly Grads (graduates from our 8 week pro course) to join us if there is a job opportunity available and there is always the chance to join our list of Dolly Grads on graduating from the 8 week pro make up course. We are always open to talent.

Each potential student is always screened to make sure that she or he is making the right choice of career. Minimum age is 18 and really there’s no cut off age for learning so if you’ve got the will then we’re here to teach you!

To secure your place on the pro course a 25% deposit will need to be put down as soon as you make your decision to join. Since courses fill fast, we strongly advise to make a quick decision to confirm your spot. The balance amount is to be paid at the latest 10 days before the start of course. In the event of the balance payment not being made on time, the initial booking amount gets fortieted and the booked seat gets passed on to the first person in waiting – contact +91 9619050158 for more information on this.

As the number of seats per course is very limited, Dolly Green doesn’t offer refunds in part or full for any workshop or course once the deposit and/or full fees are paid up.

Dolly Green is glad to accommodate a transfer of course or class after the deposit or full fees are paid up provided the student does so at least 30 days prior to the start date of the course he/she was originally enrolled for.

Dolly Green Academy is based in Bandra West, in the heart of Mumbai home to India’s huge and vibrant film and television and media industries. When we hear from you from we’d be happy to arrange a meeting, consultation or appointment. We also have a London HQ and are offering courses in Kolkata.

We don’t provide accommodation and cannot take responsibility for your stay. However past students have managed to find PG homes or small flats around Bandra. On enrolling, we can send you a few contacts to start you on your way.

Look into any make up artist’s kit and you’ll see each one is different to the next one. This is the beauty of what we do. We develop our own tastes and styles and preferred use of brands. At Dolly Green we advise and expose you to excellent products in class but it is up to the student to buy their own palettes, brushes, tools, pots and paints! This is done for a reason. Each student must learn to develop a sense of working as a freelancer and learn where to shop, what to look for and how to test and try products by themselves. We are also keen on introducing the students to greener, cleaner products, encouraging a greener artistry as we all do our bit to help our planet. Be a Green Dolly!

This is all part of learning this craft, essential for you to build relationships with suppliers and advise your clients too. We promise to hold your hands along the way and help you with this exciting process by telling you where to go, brands that we love in India and on the international market and importantly who offers discounts to Dolly Green students etc.

Leaving any course and starting out on your own is scary, anywhere in the world. You will however be armed with your start-up portfolio shots from the course, as well as shots along the way, ready to make a confident start ‘out there’. We ensure the Dolly Green family (Dollies) and the pro course graduates (Dolly Grads) are in regular touch and support each other in their craft and sharing of knowledge and information. The academy is always here for you even after you leave, offering advice and direction. All Dolly Grads are also offered a discount on any advanced workshops / masterclasses running. You never stop learning and the Dolly Green platform will be there to help you along your way.

Yes we will give you a Dolly Green certificate provided you have completed the 8 week pro course. Like many established make up education centres around the world we believe the most valuable thing to you will be the photographs of your work. This is key to starting your career in the industry and as per the course curriculum, you will graduate with 3 photo shoots as your portfolio in addition to your certificate.

Our students are mainly girls and women who come from a range of backgrounds, professions, ages and countries. Make-up as a career option is open to anyone above the age of 18, anyone who wants to learn this amazing art is welcome to our school. You may be looking to find a new life for yourself? YES! You can start the pro course having no experience at all with make-up. All we require from you is an open mind and a willingness to learn. It’s as simple as that. We start from the basics and step by step build up your creative confidence on your 8 week journey with us.

Very! Each class starts with a demonstration. We then use the rest of the class time to get your hands moving and working with your tools and the products. We balance theory and practical – both equally as important.
